Six Pillars.
One shared mission.

Our Focus Areas

PQMD’s work is organized around six strategic Pillars that reflect the priorities, expertise, and evolving interests of our cross-sector network. Together, they advance our shared mission of sustainable access to quality healthcare in underserved communities and populations in crisis.

Donation Guidelines

PQMD advances quality and responsible practices in medical donations through internationally recognized Guidelines developed from cross-sector expertise. By aligning around shared principles and best practices, members strengthen the quality, safety, appropriateness, and impact of donation programs while building trust with partners and communities.

Humanitarian Assistance

PQMD creates opportunities for members to share expertise, strengthen partnerships, and collaborate around evolving humanitarian health needs. By drawing on the collective experience of the network, members can strengthen their approaches and extend the impact of their work.

Disaster Response

PQMD provides a trusted platform for members to coordinate, exchange information, and share expertise before, during, and after emergencies. Members bring extensive experience in immediate response and long-term recovery, helping strengthen collective approaches to complex humanitarian and health crises.

Health System Strengthening

PQMD connects members working to build stronger, more resilient health systems and expand sustainable access to quality care. Through shared learning and collaboration, members exchange approaches to strengthening service delivery, workforce capacity, access to essential medicines and technologies, and other building blocks of effective health systems.

Knowledge & Innovation

PQMD creates opportunities for members to learn from one another and explore emerging issues shaping global health. Through events, benchmarking, research, education and peer exchange, members share evidence and experience, strengthen decision-making, and identify new approaches to common challenges.

Climate & Health

PQMD brings members together to explore the growing intersection of climate and health and its implications for global health programs and communities. Through shared learning and collaboration, members are developing approaches that consider adaptation, mitigation, resilience, and equity in the face of emerging climate-related health challenges.
